As we approach the sacred season of Shoonoyo Lent, also known as the Assumption Fast, let us take a moment to reflect on its deep spiritual significance.
The 15-day lenten period, beginning on August 1st and culminating on August 15th with the Feast of the Assumption of St. Mary, invites us into a time of prayer, fasting, and renewal.
During these Lenten days, evening prayer will be held at the Parish on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 07:30 PM followed by Intercessory Prayer to St. Mary.
I encourage all parishioners to embrace the shoonoyo lent wholeheartedly – whether through personal prayer, attending intercessory prayers or simply finding quiet moments to connect with God.
May this Lenten journey bring spiritual growth and grace to each of us and our families.
May the Intercession of St. Mary be a Stronghold for us All !
